I absolutely adore Jim Butcher's ability to tell you a story so intriguing, you're hooked after chapter one! The Aeronaut's Windlass is perfectly stunning. There was no, "give it a few chapters, it starts out slow". You are immediately engaged and intrigued about these characters and what they will face next. The banter is spot on and I found myself damn near high lighting whole chapters! You will literally laugh out loud while you read this. Other parts will make you sit up with "oh...it is SO ON right now!". This book is perfect, especially if you loved his Codex Alera series (which is the best epic fantasy series ever, if you haven't read it, DO IT). Eagerly anticipating the next one!
